PIA Workers' Compensation Group Rating Program

A Blueprint for Success

Building your client base is the key to a successful agency. In today's market, retaining 100% of your client base could still leave your agency suffering a 10-20 percent revenue loss. All the tools you need to grow your business and increase revenue can be found in PIA’s Workers’ Comp Group Rating Program.

Get started by ordering personalized marketing materials, which are free to members.

  • AC-3 forms and program brochures personalized with your agency name
  • Sample marketing letters and pre-printed Post-it® notes
  • A list of businesses in your area to help you target your marketing efforts

PIA’s Workers’ Comp Group Rating Program can help you …

  • Retain and round out existing accounts. By giving your clients access to savings on their workers' comp premiums, you'll give them another reason to keep their business with your agency.
  • Open the door to new commercial clients. Tell them how you can help save them money on their workers’ comp premiums and quote their personal and commercial lines at the same time.
  • Generate additional revenue for your agency. PIA's Workers' Comp Group Rating Program can help you retain your current accounts and bring in new clients, but there’s an added bonus for you; this year, participating agents will receive more than $2 million dollars in referral checks.

March 3, 2009: BWC Considering Another Substantial Increase in Premiums
The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) recently presented a proposal to its board of directors that would be devastating to the nearly 80,000 employers who currently participate in Ohio’s group rating program. This proposal would result in another substantial increase in premiums for the January workers’ comp billing cycle - a premium cycle they’ve already received a quote for during the group rating enrollment period this year. In other words, not only would they receive an unexpected increase - but it would be a different rate than they are expecting, based on the enrollment offers they have already received. Read more.
